The Chesapeake and Potomac Pitt Club is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 2008 Pitt football season. Along with the heightened expectations for our Panthers, this season will bring Heisman candidate “Shady” McCoy, All-American Linebacker Scott McKillop, and the rest of the Pitt Panthers to the National Capital region on Saturday, October 18th for a game against the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Chesapeake and Potomac Pitt Club has purchased a block of tickets for the Pitt-Navy game and will be hosting a pre-game event outside the grounds of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The event package includes a game ticket and entrance into the pre-game event with 4 hours of open bar, 2.5 hours of an Open Pit BBQ buffet featuring two choices of meat, an assortment of side dishes, and desserts. If you already have tickets to the game, you can purchase the pre-game only option.

WHEN:
Saturday, October 18, 2008
Kick-off: 3:30 p.m.
Pre-game: Noon to 4:00 p.m. with food service from 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

WHERE:
Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis, Maryland
Water Tower tailgating area along Farragut Rd. between Parking Entrances 1 & 2.

DIRECTIONS:
Take the Aris T. Allen Blvd/Riva Rd Exit, # 22, off of Route 50. Exit at Riva Rd. Turn right off of the exit and follow Riva Rd to Harry Truman Parkway. Turn right. The Park and Ride is located on your right.

PARKING:
The Harry S. Truman Park and Ride parking lot will be available for guests to park free of charge and ride the shuttle to the game. The shuttle service begins 5 hours prior to kick-off and drops riders off in front of the Navy Ticket Office (which is right by the tailgate). Shuttles run approximately every 20 minutes.

Post-game shuttle pick-up is in the same location as drop-off and will start at the beginning of the 4th Quarter and last until 2 hours after the game ends.
