A commitment to public service and giving back to other University of Pittsburgh Alumni are priorities of the Chesapeake and Potomac Pitt Club. Whether it is lending our expertise and knowledge to Pitt graduates just getting started or reaching out a helping hand to someone less fortunate, the Pitt Alumni Association and the Chesapeake and Potomac Pitt Club have many opportunities for you to volunteer. Below are some current service opportunities.

Career-savvy alumni have the opportunity to have a real impact on the futures of Pitt students and other alumni. Students and alumni who are interested in learning about other professions have a chance to connect with these alumni volunteers about what they do. The Pitt Alumni Recruitment Team consists of over 1,400 alumni volunteers from all over the country. PART Members represent the University of Pittsburgh at college recruitment events in their hometowns, which enables the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid to expand student recruitment far beyond its normal scope.

Pitt Club members volunteer on the third Saturday of every month at So Others Might Eat (SOME). SOME exists to help the poor and destitute of Washington, providing direct services including approximately 1,200 free meals per week.
